Hi! We are Emily & Julie, the sisters and mamas behind @magic_kingdom_mamas on Instagram. We share tips to help make your family’s trip to Disneyland & Disney California Adventure in Anaheim memorable, magical & stress-free! We have been so fortunate to be able to share our love for Disney each week with our kiddos at the Happiest Place on Earth!
We know how much work it can be at times going anywhere with young kids, especially to a giant theme park! So much preparation, planning & then hoping everything goes smoothly. Well, we have a few tips to help make your trip with a baby to any Disney park a lot less stressful & a lot more magical!
•Baby Care Centers•
Our number 1 tip for heading to any Disney park with little ones is to utilize the Baby Care Centers! These centers are great for nursing or feeding babies in a quiet, calm environment. They also have comfy changing tables, high chairs, a microwave to warm food & preschool-sized potties! You can even purchase any essential items you may have forgotten such as diapers size 1-6, wipes, pacifiers, formula, sunscreen & some OTC medications.

•Strollers•
We recommend bringing your own stroller over renting if you can. We prefer a nice, comfy stroller for our kids since they’re good nappers at Disneyland (Disney parks stroller rentals do not recline)! We also aren’t the lightest packers, so the storage area under our strollers is essential for us. If you do plan on renting a stroller, you can either do so in the parks or, if you plan on visiting Disneyland or Disney California Adventure in Anaheim or Walt Disney World in Orlando, check out City Stroller Rentals for Anaheim or Kingdom Strollers for Orlando. These companies are absolutely amazing & have a wide variety of strollers in various sizes – even for special needs children! If you’re staying in a hotel, they will deliver your stroller right to your room AND when you leave the parks, just leave your stroller rental at the luggage service station for it to be picked up. So convenient! Both companies will deliver to most hotels near Disneyland & Walt Disney World.
•Wrap or baby carrier•
We highly recommend bringing a baby wrap or carrier along on your Disney vacation! There are quite a few attractions that will allow babies to stay in a wrap or carrier while riding. It’s also a lot easier to manage multiple kiddos with both hands free while your babe is strapped to you! If you’re planning your Disney vacation during a warmer time of the year, a stroller fan or handheld fan is a good idea to use so baby (& mama!) stay cool & comfortable while in a carrier.
•Take breaks!•
There is so much to do & see at all Disney parks that it can be easy to forget to stop & re-group every so often. It’s especially important with little ones to remember to take breaks throughout the day, preferably in a shaded or air conditioned spot. We recommend making a list of a few “can’t-miss” attractions & entertainment so the day isn’t so overwhelming. You can check items off your list while taking plenty of breaks in between & everyone will be happy!
•Keeping little ones entertained•
We always bring some items with us to keep our kids entertained & happy while waiting in lines or for parades. A few of our essentials are bubbles, a couple of favorite toys, water, & snacks. We also love teething necklaces for our littlest babes while they’re in a wrap or carrier (favorite teething jewelry from www.mamaandlittle.com)!
